Digital Imaging

So Much to Look Forward To!

Many people want to improve their smile, but hesitate because they have don’t know if the look they want can be accomplished. There are many aspects to making up a smile, and it can be hard, if not impossible for someone to clearly communicate what they see in their mind’s eye. That's where cosmetic digital imaging comes into play. This technology allows us to create images of your mouth, as if the cosmetic procedures have been completed. We can then view these images together, and if necessary modify the image until it shows us exactly what you want.

Once we have completed a thorough exam and discussed your 'smile' goals, a treatment plan will be created. We can then produce images showing your current smile and projected changes. This allows you to see what you will look like after treatment. Images can also be printed, which you can take home and discuss with family and friends before any treatment is performed. With digital imaging your results are predictable.

The goal of the imaging for this case was to display more fully exposed teeth by minimal recontouring of the gum tissues, to whiten all of the teeth, and to show how we could achieve a more esthetically balanced smile with 10 veneers on the upper front teeth.

Imaging in this case helped our guest visualize the results that could be achieved if her teeth could be made whiter, straighter, and more symmetrical. We anticipated that this could be accomplished without braces if we used a combination of veneers, crowns and bridges, and possibly an implant. We were able to show several alternatives and assure a great result.

This guest did not like his dark, uneven, worn out smile and was very concerned about how many teeth would be involved and whether or not he would like the results. Imaging allowed us to show him the results that he could anticipate through mild whitening and restoration of his upper teeth with 10 Empress restorations. Notice how filled out the sides of his smile are. The restoration of the side teeth dramatically changes the outcome. This could not have been accomplished by restoring only the front 6 teeth. 10 Restorations were required to achieve optimal results.
